"Shall we see some short films/hate crimes?"- Greg Davies
Year: 2026
Channel: Channel 4

Number of Episodes: 10
Notes:
Series 21 is a good cast- everyone is funny, everyone is charming, and the cast like each other. Joel Dommett is overly excited and the favorite target of Alex and Greg throughout the series. Amy Gledhill is creative and hysterical. Joanna Page is weird and has a long rambling story for everything. Armando Iannucci takes the role of 'old guy who is slightly annoyed' by everything. And the famous Kumail Nanjiani (Amy and Joel play fanboys to him on the team tasks) is similair to Kiell Smith-Boyle; he really wants to win to the point the he argues over everything, and he alternates between being brilliant at some tasks and terrible at others.
On a lesser show, this series would easily crack the top 3-5. It doesn't, because other series just lap it. I think the flaw for series 21 is that no one ever dials the insanity up to 11. Everyone is just slightly restrained and holding back a gear.
It's a good series; the tasks are fun and I really like everyone. All of the contestants show both moments of brilliance and moments of disaster (Armando shows both in two consecutive tasks on episode 9).
Portrait Decor:
The theme for series 21 was an American Diner, and the portrait of the Taskmaster had him as a soda jerk.
"Leave the most pink balls on the other side of the court at the end of the task. You may only touch balls with racquets. You will lose one pink ball for every blue ball left on your side of the court at the end of the task. Alex must freeze for 30 seconds every time you strike the gong with a ball." This task looks incredibly frustrating until Armando figures out how to succeed
Worst task of the series:
There isn't a bad task in the series.
There are a few tasks that require you to know the UK- if you don't know what the games of 'Sardines' or 'Conkers' are, some of the tasks are confusing. You'll figure it out during the tasks themselves.
Trivia:
* The location tasks were at Hampton Court Palace
* Episode 9 of the series was the 200th episode of the show.
* There is a big egg theme throughout the series, starting with Joel's solo task.
